WILLIAMS and WHITE, hydraulic 90 TON press

Has a 2" crack. Could that be professionally welded? Hard to see in the picture if that part is under massive stress. I figure by the large crack in the steel it would be. Would this have enough Power (90 tons?) to stamp light gauge aluminum sheet metal?

You may want to get a local welder to appraise it, it depends on the composition, I would think it is something greater than soft cast iron?
It also may be possible to fit a pre-fabricated weldment made from heavy plate and bolt it on.
It is odd it looked like it had some radial force from the press blade, I would have expected most to be axial?
If you do get it, make sure you either get the PLC program, or get someone local to download a copy.
I am assuming it could be Allen-Bradly as it has a AB PanelView for display.

Even on longer lengths, at 90t I don't think it will even see it.
