Question Set variable values in Fanuc

    Hi.

I am programming by hand in an Fanuc 18i and I really need to make some variable values to increase an value for each time the program runs.
And the value needs to be set in instead of an Z or X value.

Also need to make an limit for the value so if the value gets to big the program jumps out. Equal or bigger than limits.

Used IF and OR finctions on an Okuma OSP controller some years ago but I haven't found out yet how to make variable values on a Fanuc.

I think it is something like this, but I am not sure :
    #1000 (variable)
and you set this to an ammount, like #1000 = 10
Am I on the ringht or wrong track here??

    Thanks for all help.

You need to find out if your control has Macro B capability to use that kind of programming notation. Custom macro variables on your control could range from #100-#199 and may have #500-#599 (even up to #999). Don't use any higher numbers unless you want to overwrite a system variable...
