Can't start spindle (servo based) at high speeds

I have a custom spindle that is servo based. If I start the spindle at 500 RPMs I can step it up to 1000 RPMs and have it run well. However, if I try to start it at 1000 RPMs it simply jerks. I have geck320 servo drivers being controlled by a true logic board.

The machine was running nonstop from July 5th to last week when the problem suddenly arose.

Furthermore, if I detach the encoder there is no fault and the motor runs.

What do you have the fault count for the drive set to? I just cant amagin it not faulting when you unhook the encoder and some kinda hugh fault count is the only thing I can think of out side of driver going bad.

DO you have another driver to try?
