After giving it a tought I came up with this idea, it will allow to use G250x pulled out of G540's (we only use 2 for the lathes) like a regular drive, the PCB is single sided so it can be machined or etched easily, the heatsink doubles as a support for the green terminal block, once I gather enough G250x out of g540s I will make a small batch of these and post photos

I've got some cheap Chinese drivers to replace and I have a stack of G250s just ready for such a use.

Last week I purchased the terminals at digikey because I cannot find them here with 3.5mm pitch, I guess 10 more days to arrive here and then its build time

After communications with Gecko, I've been able to buy some G540 mother boards to mount the G250s on. As my G250s have a female socket as does the G540 board, I'll need to use some header pins to connect them.

Have you considered porting the G250 outputs to Tyco MTA-156 or MTA-100 style connectors? They are IDC (insulation displacement connectors) that are incredibly cheap (<$0.20) and very reliable up to 7A and 5A respectively. They are what you see in your washing machine or other major appliance if you tear it up just to see what's inside.

Purchased all the parts but never build the boards, I just read your post and decided to send an email to Gecko, if the price is right I might go your way too.

Sent the email but I got a fast reply (Thanks!!) telling me that Rev.2 g250x boards are not compatible with Rev.8 motherboards, so I guess I will have to do the first post design...
