What depth to use for milling?

    Hi guys. Newbie here

I ordered some 30 and 60 degree cutters and waiting for them. My question:
Let's say I want to create 10 mils lines. How do I know the required depth for my Z axis?

As I understand it, since we are cutting isolation lines, the 10 mils line depends on the diameter of the tool which how ever (since it is a V cutter) depends on the depth at the time of cutting.

    I would appreciate any information.

    Thanks!

You can use PhCNC Demo (Insulate tool) for depth calculations. But you need to know the tool tip !
