    Threading, very unusual die

    Hello everybody,

im starting a small bicycle company and to make one very important part of the bicycle, i need a threading die of the following umm thread:

1.375x24TPI or 1-3/8-24TPI. Right hand thread ofc.

i've been looking for it for ages, found 2 vendors but they were sold out and making a new one costs in the range of 250 dollars each.

Any machiners out there who would create me a few for a slightly less costly price?

I'm located in Europe, Estonia. I can pay via paypal or something similar.

    Thanks!

I've done some bike work before and ended up just turning the needed threads on a lathe. I heard there was one guy in town who had the proper die but I never saw it. I doubt you will find someone to make a custom die for less than $250.

    Good Luck
    Matt

Hey Matt, unfortunately i dont have a lathe yet, getting it in a few months.

Basically - found out that Taps and Dies | Reamers | Tracy Tools Ltd Uk does have experience with them, and it should cost slightly less then 200 bucks to make it... investigating further.
