    Reverse Direction

Hi, just getting started in Bobcad and need help. I created a gear with 60 teeth and about 8" in diameter. I can establish the tool path but it's cutting inside the gear instead of outside. So I click on reverse direction which should change to the outside. But it does not. I tried on a simple gear and it works okay. Any ideas?

if v24 tool path on inside
    click start point
click reverse direction should get arrow
click arrow on geometry to swap
    then recompute tool path

    edit
sorry you do not have to click the arrow
just click direction and recompute on new build

thanks, I did that but once recomputing the tool path it stayed inside. Your suggestion works on a small gear but not this one

Here is the file. Perhaps there's something wrong with my system.

Take a close look at your drawing, pay attention to the fillet at the bottom of the teeth.

Also a note about your geometry..

More of a stickler, there is a double line here:

More of the underlying cause of issues you may be having could be the root of the gear is malformed.. Perhaps look at the numbers used and recrunch.

If you zoom in to a single tooth and view these areas here:

Then window zoom all the way to one of those single points to see whats going on...

Perhaps the root radius was set too large for the other specs and you are getting a foldover there.

[EDIT] Dougl beat me to it!!! [EDIT]

Perfect!, I did not think about looking closely at the drawing.

    Thanks.
