A little more information would be helpful here.

    When does it alarm?
What is the machine doing when it alarms?
    Is it really overheating?
    Is the fan running?

What have YOU done so far to help fix your problem?

    +1 "Need More Information"

What is the machine's serial number?

    Is the alarm resettable immediately?

Once reset, how long until the machine alarms out?
    Thanks,
    Ken Foulks

272 C-AXIS MOTOR OVERHEAT - Servo motor overheat. The temperature sensor in the motor indicates over 150° F. This can be caused by an extended overload of the motor such as leaving the slide at the stops for several minutes.

The thermal sensor in the motor is indicating that is open. Either the sensor is bad, parameter 176 bit 14 could be set to a 0, or maybe a cable is not sending to the mocon. In any case it is better to contact the local dealer for assistance in solving this issue.

What is "C" axis on a VF2??? My machine uses "A" axis... I've even heard of "B" axis but what is "C" Axis on a vertical mill?

I believe the C axis is the tool holder so probably the rotation motor but I've always had problems with the in and out motor.....or if its a sidemount disregard what i say.
    thanks
