I've got a friend that has a Series 2 Boss 3 Bridgeport for sale for $1500.00. It was converted to Ahha control when he bought it some time ago. He used it mainly to spot face and drill. His business grew, and the machine was not big enough to keep up, and over the years its just been gathering dust in the corner of his shop. I told him I was interested, so over the past few days he plugged it in, and it still ran. He has all the manuals, and still has the floppies with the software. My only concern is the PC, and the card in it.

My question to the members. If the PC or the card goes bad, can a more modern PC be used with the control box in the cabinet? I've seen Bob Cambell's board, and wondered if it could be used on a more modern PC, without having to upgrade driver cards, and stepper motors.

Any input will be greatly appreciated.
