    Plunging before reaching proper RPM

My router has been acting up lately, and I have been unable to find a solution to the problem.

When performing a cut, the router begins plunging into the material before it reaches the proper RPM. To avoid this, I have been jogging the bit to the far end of the table before starting the cut. This makes the router travel a further distance, giving the spindle more time to reach the proper RPMs.

This problem only occurs when first starting a cut. If I pause a cut in process, and then continue, the spindle reaches the proper RPM and then plunges like I should. Also, this problem does not occur when performing a manual material rip. Only when first loading a file.

I had a technician try to address this problem, and he determined that it was a software problem.

Have any other enroute users encountered this problem? Any advice would greatly be appreciated.

It's not an Enroute issue, it's an issue with the machine control software, which should be waiting for the rpm to get up to speed before allowing movement.
