Laser Scanning and Mold machining for Diaphragm valve

    Hi,
After a prolonged silence, yesterday i started scanning again and also tweaked my CNC which was dead-horse for 9 months or more... In our chemical plant, we are facing bad diaphragm dimensions for the diaphragm valves... We investigated whats went wrong.... Here the laser scan comes handy for the complex contour which was difficult to find manually within a short period of time..
This 90.2 radius contour we could not measure precisely without the help of David Laser scanner..

Looking good! I assume you are making a mold to create new diaphragms?

Actually the time for hand over of the valve to maintenance people is very short..so , to keep running the plant a scan will take very little time during overhauling of the valve.. this above was a test scan and the results will be shown tomorrowto the project guys...

This mold after approval will be then handed over to the local diaphragm manufacturer for mock-up testing...
