Anyone have any experience with this?
Ive tryed to mess about with it yesterday with the Sandvik solid and 2d dxf files but was not able to find any place in the tool lib in mastercam x5 where i could import the solid or 2d files.

Importing solid or 2d tool holder files to mc tool lib.

You will not be able to use a solid as a holder profile and at this time mastercam does not support multi holder profiles brought in to the tool library.
You will find one holder file that can be swopped out or use the holder library in the system and modify one to match your holder.(Note: The opinions expressed in this post are my own and are not necessarily those of CNCzone and its management)

Another method may be to draw the holder with the tool in it ( as a seperate MCX file placed in the TOOLS directory ) and call it up as a "Custom Tool"
