    haas vs harrison alpha (600)

    Hi all,

i was wondering if anyone had any views on a harrison alpha tool room lathe or a haas tl2 tool room lathe. it is my first foray into cnc turning and wanted to tick as many boxes as possible, and these 2 seem the most sensible option.

    Cheers,

    Rich

Err, I worked on the Harrison's, and the haas. The Harrison will out cut the haas, but the haas is more reliable, easier to get parts for, and cheaper to get parts. Support calling haas in southern ca has been good, they don't give you the call your distributor ever unless buying parts.
