Sciens Industries Inc. is seeking a number of experienced CNC Machinists to join their friendly team based in Peterborough, Ontario.

Within this highly specialized and pivotal position, you will work the following rotating shifts:

* Day Shift - 7am - 4pm Monday-Thursday and 7am - 1pm Fridays (4 weeks)
* Afternoons - 3:45pm - 2am Monday - Thursday (2 weeks)

Overtime is available when workload permits.

The CNC Machinist will be required to program, setup and perform machining operations based on production requirements and engineering drawings.

More specifically, you will:

* Read and interpret blueprint drawings;
* Program, setup and operate CNC Mill; and
* Produce high quality components with target tolerances.

To qualify, you will be a CNC Machinist, who has successfully completed a Mechanical Technology Diploma or equivalent. You must have a minimum of five years CNC experience.

Candidates must be proficient with Mastercam CNC software and be able to effectively use all measuring tools associated with machining. The ability to work within the requirements set forth by the SA9100 rev B and ISO 9001:2000 is imperative.

This full time role requires individuals with strong mechanical aptitude, as well as well developed communication and organizational skills.
