    Air compressor

Im looking for a air cooling solution for my cnc, I mostly cut acrylic onmy machine but sometimes aluminum .
I have a standard 2.5hp compressor which I use to blow air onto tool for cooling, this works ok for me , but the compressor is louder than the cnc. Want too find a quite compressor with high airflow, or some other type of quite air pump.
Any ideas would be great, I'm in Australia
    Cheers.

Ps. Thought about mist but not sure if it will work with kress router, & don't you have too keep buying coolant.

A screw type compressor is quieter than a piston type, but they are kinda noisy as well. You may have to install an enclosure around the compressor.

One of my earlier employers had to build an addition to the shop and moved the compressor into the new room which was built for sound reduction.
