Hi,
my small Romaxx HS1 machine has belt driven long axis/moves the gantry/ and axis length is 60cm , its driven at both sides. Each side has 2x24 + 1x14 teeth pulleys and is using 1/5" XL037 belt with total length like 130cm. So no place for wider than 10mm belt

For various reasons i am not happy with the belt accuracy due to stretching, so i am thinking of upgrade.Of course if its more cost effective than buying 2 eBay ball screws which i prefer to use on a new machine, not upgrading this one.

So i thought of changing belt pulleys with 10 5AT or 10 S5M belt and pulleys.
So i wonder which one of this is better, is it worth it and is it possible or good to change to a 10 10AT belt. I mean thicker belt with a longer pitch like 10mm versus 5mm? will i loose sth? As far as width i can not do anything, it should be 10mm or near due to the design of the machine.
The 10 pitch belts have minimal pulley 15 teeth versus the one i have which is 14 at the motor shaft and i assume they will be like twice the diameter of the 5mm pitch ones
All the info i get from here http://www.brecoflex.com/download/B212.PDF

Any help on this please?
