    X axis problem

Firstly sorry if this is in the wrong section I'm a new member and only getting used to this forum? Admin feel free to move it to the correct place?

My problem is that my swedturn machine is playing up, ie I do one finish cut 1mm oversize then measure and do a tool offset? Then take a final finish cut at finish size? When I do my first cut the offset could range anywhere from being spot on to half a mill up or down? Then when I change the offset the machine still will not finish size and even if I move the offset to make the job bigger it can still finish it undersize? It's kind of hard to explain? But any help would be much appreciated

    Thanks
    Barry
