As GP stated the comments have to go between the () parenthesis. So start typing with a (add comment here) then insert it into the program. The control will ignore anything in (). Depending on your keypad you will have to use the “shift” key to get the characters that you want.

If you do not have the parentheses available as a SHIFT function on your number pad, the may be in the soft key menus. While in edit, press the OPRT soft ket to open the menus. Once open, use the page right soft key to reveal the C-EDT menu. Press that and you will see a few charachters you can choose from, including ( and )

This is the first problem I faced when I started learning macro programming. Square brackets were not coming. Somebody informed that it was a parameter issue.
Read the attachment for details on how to have both the brackets.

Re: How to wright comments on a oi-tc

To add comments to a program, you can use the appropriate syntax for the programming language you are working with. In most programming languages, comments are used to explain the purpose of the code, to provide instructions or notes for other programmers who may read the code, or to temporarily disable a line or block of code. C and C++: Use the "//" symbol to start a single-line comment, or use "/* */" to create a block comment that can span multiple lines.

To add comments in programs on a Yama Seiki machine with a Fanuc Oi-TC control, you can use the parentheses notation to insert comments within the program.
Remember that the parentheses notation for comments may vary depending on the specific control and programming language used. However, using parentheses is a common way to add comments in Fanuc controls.
