Question Solid Works Ver: 2007 and Windows 7 Pro

Has anyone gotten SW-2007 to run smoothly in Windows 7 Pro? If you have please, post instructions.

install SW 2007 then right click on the short cut and click on properties then click the compatibility tab. Click on "Help me choose settings" or you can try putting a check in the check box for "Run this program in compatibility mode for:" and choose your own settings in the drop down box, probably something like "Windows XP (service pack 2)" or similar. You will probably have to click on yes in User Account Control dialog that comes up every time you start up SW.

Or you can choose to disable the User Account Control.
