    401, 410 ALARM Fanuc O-T

    Hi all,

I have a puma 12LC fanuc O-T control, and recently it has an ALARM 401 Servo alarm: (VRDY OFF) and 410 Servo alarm: X axis excess err. This alarm happen most of the time when the machine is doing rapid move. I google around the net and many expert saying it is a pulse coder. How do i fix this problem? Please Help.

    Thank you very much.

    Not necessarily the encoder.
With a slant bed lathe and the X axis carrying the turret, check on what style of counter balance it has, if this is not working, it places a strain on the X servo motor.
    Check the diagnostic registers.

    Hi Al The Man,

Looking at your pdf, I dont understand the formula at Note 1

What is the PRM517? and how do i get the dection unit value?

If my X axis is 480 IPM then it equal 12192 mmPM right?
