I NEED TO TURN AROUND THE 40" DIA.!!!! BUT ALSO NEEDS TO BE
HTZL AND NOT A VTL
I have already a Daewoo/Doosan PUMA700 for past 7 years now. Had great success with it. I can turn 35" DIA with this frame. Also I do long shaft work. I have 60" between centers, but I can swallow up to 6.5"dia stock. I actually
do quite a bit of shaft work, and large gear work so this is my reasoning to stick with a horizontal lathe, and not a vtl.
Is anyone aware?? Doosan rep. told me that my frame is that largest that they offer. Is there another that can offer me say a 32-36" chuck with
say 40-42" swing so that I can push it?
Any advice would help me a great deal.
