Best machine to cut marzipan or icing sheets?

Hi guys, I have absolutely no experience with CNC machines but am on the hunt for the best way to cut small shapes out of marzipan or icing sheets to be used in cake decoration...

Any advice would be greatly appreciated....

I'm wondering if the best plan of attack would be to freeze the sheets to make them stiff and then use some type of router type spinning drill bit to cut out the shapes?

But I'm hoping someone with more experience might be able to give me some good advice....

    Laser, blade, spinning bit etc????

Thanks for that info.... Will look into that too.... Home craft sort of budget so less than $1000 hopefully for a suitable method...

I would attack it from another direction. Make molds or cutters with a cnc to cut or form the icings. I would hate to be the one cleaning the rails of icing and marzipan at the end of each day and having to re-lube everything.

These machine use knives to cut the material.
    Cricut Cake

I'd guess that the blade approach would be best.

Yeah after a bit of web surfing I did stumble upon the Cricut Cake device which is a small blade based system. Just need to work out if I can load my own designs, doesn't look like it can be connected to a pc as all the "smarts" is in the device and the little cartridges of designs.

I'm beginning to think a blade based system for the larger stuff and then some sort of ink jet printer type device for the smaller more intricate text and design touches...
