    5 axis schematic

attched is a proposed schematic for 5 axis using 2 bob controller, with the use of 2 x axis drive motors. Is mach3 - 4? currently supporting more than 5 axis? Im looking for 5 axis screen set for mach or another application that support more 5 axis?

    thanks.

    Mach3 supports 6 axis plus a step/dir spindle.
There's a 6 axis screen here, and possibly one or two more 5 axis screens in the MAch forum.

You have 6 axis in your schematic?
In order to use 7 motors like that, you won't be able to slave the X motors. But you can drive the 2 motors by splitting a step and dir signal.

    robotic arm kinematics dll

I inquired with brian today about the kinematics module, he told me its in the works for mach4 , some time after the dust settles after the big release.
FYI Im the mean time ecm has a kinematics suport.

    rotary indexer

Has anyone see a source for aluminum indexer circular base (3"-4" diameter) the housing should be made of aluminum? That is simular to the joint in the above video of the articulating arms. The ones i seen are small steel square base 3"x3"x2" and very heavy for the B C axis on a arm.

    Thanks

I know you have already read about this in the robot arm thread - but emc2 already has kins support for robot arms. (very flexible...)

Thanks , for posting the welding video, as noted in post 7 mach will have support in in the near future, for now emc is the only way... unless there
    huge suport for it.

another view of the same arm

This arm is simular to my idea i had, use a couple of rotatary platters for the waist and shoulder and elbow joints
I would add another joint for wrist joint ( seen in video 3). Anyone know how axis emc supports? In there current release?

Just looking at this video (2), this arm looks simpler to fabricate than a large 5x12 with 5 axis gantry machine, also less material for the table top.

Mach3 V4 was supposed to be released 3 years ago, so the near future may not be as near as you think.

    Eloid,
What BOB u use? Do you have pmdx 126 schematic for 5 axis? or just replace your BOB on drawing with pmdx 126? I have this pmdx 126, its 4 axis.
