An overcurrent was detected in the IPM used by the servo or spindle drive. The current flowing to the motors was
excessive. If the problem occurs at power up then the alarm is slightly different than when it appears at the motor
    start up.
    1) If alarm occurs at power on of the NC unit: Power off the machine at the main switch. Support the axis so it
doesn't crash: Z-axis on a vertical machining center, Y-axis on a horizontal machining center and the X-axis on a
turning center. Disconnect the UVW wires leading to the motor, and power on the machine. If the alarm is not
present, then power off the machine at the main switch. Megger the motor and check the wiring back to the motor
for shorts. If the alarm still exists then replace the drive unit.
    2) If the alarm occurs when motor start command is given, then power off the machine at the main switch and
remove the UVW wires. Power on the machine and give a start command. Does the alarm 32 appear or do you
have a new alarm? If alarm 32 reappears, then replace the drive unit. If another alarm occurs, turn off the power and
check the wires leading to the motor and Megger the motor.
    3) Swap the drive unit.
    4) If alarm occurs intermittently, swap the encoder with a similar encoder on another axis. If it is a spindle drive
    check the PLG signal.
    5) Check to see if the machine is mechanically sound. Check to make sure the axis will turn freely if disconnected from the motor.

    I had S01 alarm 0032 on Mitsubishi M-V5B with Meldas M520MR.
Replaced the DK-517 sub-boards in the MDS-B-SP-75 spindle drive unit, and that has got machine working again.
I am curious as to why the original components have failed?

    El Gordo,

That would be a machine side alarm. Check your pressure switch and its electrical connections and its connection the remote I/O unit. Cheers.

Move your reference dog away from your OT dog and see if reference return is successfully completed. Make sure to mark down your current reference dog positions.
