    Chinese vs. USA

I am ready to purchase a 24 x 48 or 48 x 49 with 4th axis rotary capabilities router but I can't find a US made machine in my price range of less than $5000. This only leaves me with one choice - going with a Chinese machine. There are lots to choose from and many look good. Only problem is I am worried about tech support and parts availability. Does anyone know of a US made machine that fits my needs or a US company that sells and supports Chinese machines? Thanks, Rock

Looks like the closest machine they have to the size i need is close to $20,000 Canadian dollars. That won't come close to fitting my budget of $5000. Any other ideas?

A bit over your budget but the closest I came was here: Page Title

Also if you buy a off shore machine have you included the shipping and import fees in your $5000? Think if I was in your place I would go with klinginc if at all possible.

Yes, but he also has changed the control to Mach3 I believe. And you would be able to go back to him for service if needed.

If you have to buy china, I would recommend you do as much research as possible ,we did a retrofit last year on a china 4x8 cnc router and I can honestly say the mechanics were not too bad, but the electronics was the most dangerous scariest mess I have ever encountered,

It was so bad I immediately cut the power plug off for the customers own safety,
