    Free Plasma Table Plans

These are the same plans with updates that were posted at HotrodWillys
"plasma table plans". Because I am still getting e-mails requesting plans I though I would start a new thread.(hope this is the right place)
The plans are zipped dfx. If you don't have cad go to A9tech.com and download their A9cad program. It is freeware and it opens all of acad 2d files.
Hope it is ok to put this file here.

    Plans

I have successfully printed the plans out but there is still way to much information on each sheet to read. Is ther any way to separate the drawings? Also did you ever get the wiring finished?
Sorry for all of the questions. I am a real noob at CAD and am trying to learn.

The first post on page 1 of this build log gives a link to click on to download the plans by M Laws.
After download of the plans you need to unzip(decompress) them.
Additional posts on the first page tell how to unzip so the plans can be read or printed.
READing all the above untill you understand should help.

    Hi Mike,
A great set of plans, and especially a great looking machine you have designed and built.

first you have to unzip the file. Then start a9cad - go to file open - down at the bottom it says file type - click on that - then click on dfx - then find the file you unzipped and lick on it. By using the zoom, you will be able to see the different prints.
If you have problems contact me. You can also print the plans off on a printer.
thi program works a lot like autocad lite. if you get a book on autocad lite it might help and is a lot cheaper than other cad programs.
    feel freeto contact me.

    I got it

Mike I just tried it and it worked just like you said. I'm not real up on computers but I'm learning. I have my own fab shop and am very interested in building a cnc plasma table I want to have capabilities to cut 5 X 10 sheets.I'm sure it will take some time as I have a lot to learn. I have never really been around any cnc machines. I do have some machining experience and close to 30 years of welding and fitting. I'll probably be asking a lot of questions and will appreciate any answers and advice anybody can give.
    Thanks Jim

    Hi everyone
This is to let everyone know about a couple of mistakes on the plans.
1.you need 4 linear bearing or 2 double bearing on the z axis.
    2. the 1 x 4 tubing should be 1 x 3
    sorry

    Hi Mike

Quick question about the plans, how in the heck do I get the A9cad program to draw the plans with one drawing per sheet instead of all the drawings going on one page. Any help would be much appreciated as I can't quite figure out how to do it

Go to "file" - "print". then at the bottom of the print page is gives the choice of "extends or window". Choose "window" - then click "choose". This will let you choose the area you want to print.
Also on Monday I will update the prints with the mistakes That have been found. If anyone has foun something that is not right please let me know.
The wiring will be coming soon.
    thanks
    mike
