    Unhappy True scale screen

I recently bought a couple of new computers with flat panel displays. One is 17" and the other is 19". Before this I was using a computer with a CRT screen.

On the CRT you could draw a square, then put a ruler up to the screen. The vertical distance and the horizontal distance would have the same measurement.

On both CRT's the vertical measurement of the square is greater than the horizontal measurement. This distorts the proportionality of the view. Has anyone else noticed this and can anyone suggest a solution.

    Thanks.

What screen resolutions have you tried? There are some resolutions that have a different pixel ratio than standard 4:3. Possibly this could be the source of the distortion?
First you get good, then you get fast. Then grouchiness sets in.

(Note: The opinions expressed in this post are my own and are not necessarily those of CNCzone and its management)

    HuFlugDung,

    Thanks for the reply.

Changing the resolution was done last week with a
DELL technical rep. and it worked in CAD and MSPaint.

Then it went back to an ellipse in CAD but is still a circle in MSPaint.

    It's all very strange.
