How to make Spindle calibration on x5+

    hi

I´m having problems on my mill. When I send commands speed is not correct and much more speed problem is bigger
s500, machine starts move to 492rpm
    s1000, 1300 rpm
    s2500, 2800 rpm
    s4000, 4500 rpm
    s5000, 5300 rpm

this sounds pretty much correct, but when you make an speed override or push reset problems increase, also it happens when programing different speeds on a long program run.

    s1000, 550 rpm
    s1300, 897 rpm
    s2000, 1500 rpm
    s5000, 4400 rpm

How can I configure machine or mach3 to solve this problems.

    cheers

    okabum,

This may not apply to you but I had the same issue on an X7 with AD-Tech controller and VSD spindle drive. The previous owner had set the max speed in the AD-Tech to 4000RPM but the VSD had a max frequency set to 400 Hz. This gave me a multiplying effect similar to what you have.
I set the max speed in the AD-Tech controller to 6000 RPM (which now matched the VSD max frequency setting) and now when I ask for 1000 RPM thats what I get. RPM is now correctly set throughout the speed range.

    Hope this may help.

    Greg
