    set relative value to zero

    HI All
i have a problem with set zero in relative screen (lathe machine)
when i want to set the tool in X or Z to zero in relative the value dosen't change to zero (only in relative coordinates) the machine is
Colchester-Harrison GE Fanuc ALPHA X Series Lathe(touch screen)
note : i have set up refrence return to the machine after the battery became low and released APC alarm X & Z need zero return ,
i changed the batteries and the machine works fine now except the relative zero for X& Z AXIS
are there some parameter to change or something else?
any suggestions, opinions or help will be appreciated
    thanks in advance

on later Fanuc controls you can only set relative position page to zero. X and Z absolute page you can not reset to 0 manually.
    which control do you have?

With a Series 21i, are you doing the following to set the Relative Page Axis Position to Zero?

    1. Press POS Hard button
    2. Select REL
    3. Input Axis Name you want to Zero
    4. Press ORIGIN Soft Key
    5. Press EXEC Soft Key

    Regards,

    Bill

relative position page axis are usually not XYZ.
for X axis you need to press U and ORIGIN
    V ORIGIN for Y axis
    W ORIGIN for Z axis
