    Setting Drawing Size

Is there a way to set the drawing envelope size in lazyCam to the same size as my milling envelope?
When it generates g code for Mach3 it has x and y travel far in excess of what my machine is capable of.
    Hope this makes sense

    tools\scale drawing?

Is that what you're talking about, or did you mean something else?

    I'll try again.

My machine is a little sig X2. The envelope is about 3 by 8 inches, Y and X. When I transfer a drawing to lazyCam and then into G code I get a Y axis with 19 or 20 inches of travel and an x with 10 or 12 inches of travel.
I need to crop the area somehow so I'm not constantly editing G code.

My drawing area In Acad Lite is 8-1/2 by 11 so the problem must be arising in lazycam.

Post a sample drawing that's coming out too large. My guess is it's your drawing. LazyCAM should be creating code the same size as the drawing.

The part size comes out just fine. It's the approach that's all over the place.
I'll go back in AutoCad and see what template is entered.

So, it's the location of the part, and not the size?
You need to learn how to draw at the origin.
Where the drawing is in relation to the origin is usually where it gets machined.
But, you can also change the origin in LazyCAM. I believe the tutorial videos explain how.

Hello, my lazycam import a dxf file from sw and post a g-code, my mach3 used this g-code to cut the part, which is big than the design size? what should I do?
