    Locating a part

    Hello gentleman,
I do not know if this is the correct Forum to post this, I'm gonna do it anyways.

What would be the best way to accurately locate a part by:
1.- Locating the part by its ID (DATUM A)
2.- Clocking the part horizontal by any of the 2 flats.

Note: the distance from flat to flat is 1.378" +/-.005".

    I attached a DXF file.

Right now what I'm doing is trying to control the distance 1.378" within .001" and cloking the part with a pin. But if for some reason the operator misses to hit 1.378", the part will not be clocked at 0.0 Deg.

    IDEAS !??
