    Google Sketchup Pro to Bobcad

So I had installed that 'Su2stl.rb' plugin. to export the file as a .STL.

The object I am cutting out is already welded together, in the Overall Dimensions of 43.63" x 14.5". And it needs to have a profile cut out of it like this:
    |_
    ...\
    ....\
    ....|

    That degree is about 16.

Imported within the error tolerance, but for some reason, the object is white. Not colored blue like it usually is. And when I go to 'Mill 3 Axis' it, it wants to cut out the whole center area, instead of focusing on the main area.

Does anyone here use Google Sketchup Pro along with BobCad? And does it work well?

Any information on it would be great.

You can set the color by selecting it and right clciking-attributes-color. The default import color will be that white color.

Toolpathing an STL will not recognoze the individual polygon surfaces (Could be in the millions). You will control the toolpath with "Boundries"....

If it is not a complex/curved/organic type surface, then you may want to do one more conversion to STEP (There is a freeware that can do that) to get better surfaces/edges out of the model, but you would only want to go this route if the part was Very MCAD, or "squares and holes" and such.

    I greatly appreciate your input.

I had given up on the STL, finally resorted to my co-worker remaking it in Solid Works.

Only problem now is, when we imported it(the SolidWorks file), it is on its side, and how in the HECK do you rotate it? We have tried the rotation tool, but to no anvil have we gotten it to rotate.
