Mazak M5 DEAD BATTERY -DEAD CONTROL

    Hello,
I am looking for any help out there. Need parameters, ladder, any info. Lathe
was retrofit in 1997 with a mits 50L. Mazak no help, unable to locate retrofitter.
I know someone has had the same issue, because I was contacted, but lost
    contact info.
    Any help is welcome.

    Thanks in advance.

If the Lathe was a retro fit by an independent R.F. then Mazak have nothing to do with it, you will have to find someone familiar with Mits ladder to re-commission it.
You could try asking Mitsubishi Training or CNC systems div for a sample ladder to start from. If it has a mits operator panel, it may make it easier.
I may have one of my old ladders that I could dig out, but no promises.
The ladder can be entered by hand at the console if necessary.

I have the same machine with the same control and I also need the parameters. Did you have any luck finding them if so could you let me know where you got them from or possibly send me a copy. I would greatly appreciate it.

    Dead m5

    Dear aaa,
I have had no luck finding any info. Have had hours of talk time with mits, mazak
and several independents. Mits tells me the first thing I need is a ladder. Once I have that in place, then mits can give me universal params to at least get axes
moving. After that, much tweeking will need to be done to bring machine alive again. Do you have info left in your control? Mits also advises there should be a hidden copy of the ladder and params on the double e-prom.(yeah right). My info's not there. Have talked with an x mazak guy who tells me he can help, however, he seems to be "very busy" and will get over to see me soon. Lets stay in touch to solve the headache. I will let you in on anything I can come up with.

    P.S.
I think we have talked about this before. Did you contact me about this and I was going to fire up my machine to copy info and send it to you? Mohawk

    Regards
