    COMPACT FLASH CARD

I knew the 1GB 80x Transcend Compact Flash cards that I bought would work. I was able to get them to work on all our machines 0i-mate-MD, MC, 0i-MD, MC, 21i-MB, 18i-MB and 31i-MA. I ended up formatting them in our old Nikon E990 camera. They all worked after doing that, from dataserver to DNC to punching out parameters. This wasn't the solve I was looking for but it works for now.

USE WINDOWS EXPLORER TO TO CONFIRM BY RIGHT CLICKING ON THE DRIVE LETTER WHERE CARD IS LOCATED.
WINDOWS EXPLORER FORMAT MIGHT NOT HAVE THE OPTION TO DO THIS.

AT THE MS-DOS COMMAND PROMPT(FOUND UNDER ACCESSORIES)
TYPE IN, WITHOUT THE QUOTES,CHANGING THE DRIVE LETTER AS REQUIRED: "FORMAT E: /FS:FAT /A:64K", THEN PRESS ENTER TO EXECUTE COMMAND.
THE FORMATTING PROGRESS SHOULD BE INDICATED WITH AN INCREASING PERCENTAGE UNTIL DONE.

IF THE PC PROMPTS TO CONTINUE WITH FORMATTING, TYPE IN "Y".
