    Okuma Cadet 999 Alarm A

Just wondering if anyone had any idea on the cause of this alarm. The alarm number on the SDU is 34 which isn't listed in the book I have. on the display the alarm is listed as 999 Alarm A Spindle 1.

This is a voltage flutter alarm. This is typically caused during the deleration of the spindle. This is caused by the drive trying to push power back up the incoming power lines and not being able to. Check all the connection (fuses, breakers) for loose connections and check the voltage at the breaker. If the voltage is climbing when stopping the spindle then this is a problem on the power lines incoming. If there is not change then this could be a bad drive unit, so drives this alarm (warning level alarm) can be masked.
