    VCarved Wooden Sign

    Hi,

Below are a couple of pictures of a VCarved Wooden Sign we recenty machined using a Roland EGX cnc machine.

The machine cut really smooth and quick with very impressive results.

I think my coffee table is in trouble :devious: . The top is a thick Mahogany slab that I can carve something into. I will tell the wife it fell out the window and only the top survived.

Nice pictures Tony. Keep them coming.

    Hi John,

This 'Rustic House Sign' has been v-carved into a slice of Silver Birch 530mm (21") x 200mm (8") on a Roland EGX 600 Engraver. A 100 degree included angle engraving cutter, running at 12,000 rpm and 20mm / sec (0.75" / sec) cutting at multiple Z levels, carved the complete sign in approx 15 minutes.

To simplify the finishing process the wooden blank was varnished before vcarving. The letters were then vcarved and painted, with the excess paint simply wiped off the flat surface.

The whole front of the sign was then varnished again to make it weather proof.

This type and size of signage will retail for at least £35+ - $60+

The text is simple Times Roman

    Regards,

    Tony Mac

PS Has anyone heard from 'Grizzmo' recently?
