Question Stepper, Driver, and Mach3 configuation trouble

I finally have all the electronics working but have a problem with the motor tuning configuration. I am using the following setup on my 3-axis machine:

    -24v, 400w PS
    -425oz, 1.8 deg. stepper motors (57BYGH115-003B)
    -Micro-step Drivers (DQ542MA)
    -DB25 Breakout board
    -Mach3
    -13 TPI lead screws

I believe the problem I am having is with the Mach3 Motor tuning and Stepper Motor Driver configuration. This is how everything is set up:

-DIP switches on the drivers are set to 800 Pulse/rev.
-Mach 3 "steps per" is set to 10400

Theoretically, when I jog an axis 1 inch, shouldn't the stepper motor rotate 13 times?

However, when I use MDI in Mach3 and type "G00 X1" to move the x-axis 1 inch, the stepper motor only rotates approximately half a turn.

    Any Suggestions?

800 pulses per revolution is DIP switch setting ON - OFF - ON - ON.

If, instead, you have the DIP switches set to OFF - ON - OFF - OFF (because you have confused the ON and OFF switch directions), you would be setting the driver for 10,000 pulses per revolution.

Could that possibly be the problem?

    Thanks doorknob,

Unfortunately, I attend a military academy and have to have my room spotless in the morning. I already packed everything away under my bed for the night and won't get a chance to test it again until tomorrow. However, I did check the drivers and saw that the switches were indeed flipped incorrectly. This also means the current I was supplying to the steppers was not set correctly. This is great, I can't wait to see if this will finally work. I have been working on my machine since Christmas. Thanks again!
