Does any one know how I would go about wrapping text around a cylinder in bobcad v24 such as a baseball bat.

Here is a quick video where I "model" text on a bat.
putting text on a cylindrical object - YouTube
You may want to do this if you need to actually 3d toolpath the text... If you have a 4th axis and just wanted to engrave, You could create the initial profile in the front UCS and extrude it staight up in Y as a flat surface, project your text onto that and just use 3d engrave while in cylindrical stock for 4th wrapping.
We do engraving on plastic cylinders and instead of using the 4th axis (we do thave a rotary on our router) I perfer to use a 3-axis of movment on the cylinder face. It works great as long as your text height is small in relationship to your cylinder diameter.
The way I do it I use two 1/2 arcs and connecting lines to create a lofted surface known in BobCad as a Skin (under surfaces --> Skin). You position your text over the skni and use the Project curves to surfaces command. This gives you the geoemtry for the text on the face of the surface. Then you use the feature engrave and pick the already curved text, it will generate the x/y/z tool path.
Yes I do!
This video link doesn't have any sound, but, but it walks through the steps of doing wrapping with BobCAD V24
