We present an official PoKeys Mach3 plugin by PoLabs. The main trigger for this plugin is the new capability of the PoKeys56U and PoKeys56E devices - Pulse engine - that can be used as an external 3-axis motion controller with Mach3. This means that there is no more need for LPT port to drive small CNC machines.
However, the plugin support all the basic mapping options as listed below.

PoKeys Mach3 plugin existing functionality
- Support for PoKeys55, PoKeys56U and PoKeys56E devices
- Mapping of PoKeys digital inputs to Mach3 OEM LEDs and OEM buttons
- Mapping of Mach3 OEM LEDs to PoKeys digital outputs
- Mapping of PoKeys encoders to Mach3 DROs
- Support for matrix keyboard
- Support for kbd48CNC keyboard on I2C address 1
- Usage of PoKeys Pulse engine (available on PoKeys56U and Pokeys56E devices) as external motion controller for Mach3 – 3 axes, each up to 25 kHz step frequency

Pulse engine option must be activated before the first use. During the testing period, we will offer two free activation codes per PoKeys56 owner. Those who are interested, please send the serial number of your PoKeys56 device to [email protected]. The plugin with the basic manual is included in the attachment in this post. Before using the plugin, please download and install the latest PoKeys software update from www.poscope.com.

Plugin development will continue and additional options will be included in the future.

With PoKeys56U and Mach Plugin is possible make control of 3 axis STEP/DIR with a Mach ?

I'm looking for a board similar to SmootStepper v1.2 but more cheap.

If is posible make 3 axis STEP/DIR with PoKeys56U and Mach, I'm very interested in this product.

Yes, it is possible to made 3 axis CNC with PoKeys56. Both USB or Ethernet versions.

FANTASTIC. I have been using Pokeys for a few years, Starting with the old 5 volt model. My SMOOTHSTEPPER USB does nothing but crash and I lost two of them to voltage spikes , BUT MY POKEYS NEVER CRASH"S OR FRYS. Hooked up to same system , next to the smoothstepper, same spikes etc. I CANT WAIT. I ordered one already I am hoping to cross connect an arduino with the IC2 buss, will keep you posted. Is there a pokeys forum on cnc zone ?

help me please - don't understand it: can using more axes under mach 3 with pokeys 57U?

I buyed in hungary distributor (klavio.hu) and the descriptions was this:

"Mach3 and Mach4 plugin support
...
...
3 axis pulse output, max. 25kHz, (internal)
8 axis pulse output, max. 125kHz (Mach3,Mach4)"

What mean the last?
Can I use more than tree axis?
If yes, I must write plugin for this, or can download?

Hi!

As quoted in user manual, for 8 axis on PoKeys57U you need aditional board like: PoExtBusOC16CNC as described in user manual.
