Is this a PLC alarm, or a CNC alarm? What is the machine manufacture?
A CNC alarm appears in the upper portion of the Diagnostics screen.
If it's a CNC alarm, #0020 is related to refernce point return. You must
perform a reference point return (G28) on all axes to continue.
If it's a PLC alarm, and the text states tool head overheating, there is most
likely a sensor that's correctly or incorrectly reporting this condition.
If you have the schematic, you might look for wiring that comes from the
Spindle motor and goes into the cabinet relays. If the relays or patch panels
are labeled, you can perhaps find which input device (X00 - XFF) is high and force off.
It sound to me like it's a PLC problem, and if you do not have the ladder diagram, it may be difficult to trace.
