Do you have home switches? You can't use softlimits without home switches.

What do you mean when you say "change my absolute"?

    help

I am putting my home /limit switches on now I just finished the x and starting on the y.I will wire them after there all mounted.I am using 1 switch for limit and home and the other for the limit in the other direction. When I say absolute I mean the far limit in each direction of travel.Like on the diagnostic page it has absolute in the top right corner of the screen. It has min and max absolute cord.I could be misunderstanding that. Please explain it to me as I need to learn and there's no one around me that knows what mach3 is!

That abs on the Diagnostics page basically just displays the limits of a loaded g-code program, plus the current location if it's outside the program limits.
Load some g-code and you'll see it change.

I never knew it was even there, and honestly, don't know what it's purpose is.

My recommendation is to go to the machsupport site and start watching all the tutorial videos. Then watch them again.
