    Deep draw press

Are most kitchen sinks manufactured by a deep draw press? I Think the av. gauge of the stainless steel sink is 18 gauge avg. sink so what tonnage do you think the press would need to be. Also the deep draw presses I have seen do not look like they would be to hard to build.

I think a 10 ton press would be fairly simple to build.

A 100 ton press is probably within possibility because I have a very well equipped home shop (and a 10,000square feet manufacturing facility )

A 1000 ton press would be a real challenge.
An open mind is a virtue...so long as all the common sense has not leaked out.

Is there a forum that talks more about presses?

Looks like that could very well be a Hydroform press.

Not sure if I have ever come across an actual press forum, you might have some luck with possibly looking for a mechanical engineering type forum, they would be the kind of guy's that would be doing this type of calculation for loads and tonnage

it would be amazing to see a DIY press on this scale !!!!

    Good luck with your project,
