Hi guys.
I wantet to hear if anyone knew a place where i can buy a used electro spidle
for my morbidelli.
the thing is that i bought this morbidelli for a little under 10,000$ and a brand new SCM electro spidle cost 20K and if i wantet to have the ball bearings change in my old one i have to pay 12K doest quite seem fair when you can buy a hole used machine for 10K....

So if any of you guys now where we can buy a cheap used or renovated for a fair price please dont be shy.

And if anyone knows a company that can renovate a electro spidle in Vietnam that would be great if i could get a link.

I have a Morbidelli Author 503, serial number AL1541, year 1994 in my warehouse on a pallet. It has been there the last three years and had limited use prior to that. If this piece of machinery is of interest let me know.

Morbidelli Author 503 Dado Motor Configuration


Really need help reconfiguring our Morbidelli Author 503 Dado Motor.
We had the infamous battery issue and lost everything. So starting from scratch and we are almost back to where we were at except we can't get the dado motor to turn and cut on the Y plane. It is setup as tool #80 & #81. It cuts fine in the X plane but it won't turn to cut in the Y axis.

Please any help would be greatly appreciated!!!

Hi all,

I need help please. I am setting the PLC's on an Author 503, I have the disks and steps. The password "MORBI" let me do most of the installation, but when I do step 5( 5-INSERT PARAMETER'S DISK, EDITOR, PARAMETERS, LOAD ALL) and press the "EDITOR" button I get an error message "PASSWORD NOT RECOGNIZED". Does anybody know what password is needed for this step. SCM Australia is just ignoring my request for help.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for the reply mate. I eventually got back to the machine today and it is till not working with these two passwords either. I am so frustrated with this machine and the whole secrecy from the makers around it's setting up.

It looks like I will have to retro fit with Mesa cards in the end. Then at least we will never have the battery and plc problem again.

I found the issue. The two part back door password I had was for the wrong version of tria. I hope this help somebody else in future
