Chinese laser: when I press the left button, head goes right...

    Hi,

I've posted a few times on this forum and it's always been useful. I have had a lot of issues with my laser, all of which I thought I had solved. now one problem has returned; when I press the left button, the laser head goes to the right. it also datums to the top right rather than the top left so I'm assuming it might be a motor controller issue.

I really, really need some ideas; I'm using lasercut 53, which i have reinstalled and reloaded new config files and all sorts. tearing my hair out and I need this problem fixed as soon as possible.

thanks in advance for any ideas people might have...

    Just go to:
File - Machine setting - Worktable and change Datum Direction from P Dir to N Dir.
Save - OK and next load settings to mainboard using Download - Download CFG
    That is all.

    Thanks for the replies guys.

Default is definitely top left on this machine. Beyond a doubt.

As for changing the direction in the machine options, they were already set up correctly, as you described. So I changed them around and back again etc. Still no joy.

Did you send settings to mainboard correctly?
There must be BEEEP sound confirming.
When you change N to P or P to N machine MUST change its move direction.

Beeps and do not change direction?
So you must have problem with DIR signal for X-axis.
    There is still same 0V.
Check pin 2 on Y5 (if you have MPC6515 controller).
Pin 4 is Ground for 5V signals.
Should be 5V DC when going left and 0V DC when going right. Of course for N-Dir setting.
The same should be on the step motor driver signal input (Dir) for X-axis.
If not may be cable loose or broken.

    JENNY FROM GWEIKE

    1. First you can change the 2803 chips of X axis on MPC6515 card.
this is the fast way to check if there is signal problem on X axis moving.

    2. the follwoing ways can figure out where is problem source.
Move X axis with the butten, and observe the change of the light on MPC6515 cards. if it is normal, then means problem is on the motor or drive. if it is abnormal, problem should be on datawire or 6515 cards.
