    timing belt walking off pulley??

I just replaced my gantry on my 4x6 router, and now the timing belt is walking towards the motor. It is the exact same setup as before, just on a different gantry. It worked perfect before. Pulley has perfect alignment with idlers. Cant seem to figure this out, knowing (I thought) that a walking belt is caused by incorrect alignment.
    any thoughts?

Either some sort of misalignment or your tension isnt set correctly is my guess.

Would too tight or too loose cause this?

My guess is that the shaft of your motor is not parallel with the shaft of what is being driven. The belt then walks to a position which it thinks is the largest diameter of the pulley. Not sure how else to explain it with out making a sketch. If you draw the shafts and pulley greatly misaligned you should be able to see what I am babbling about.

The only pulley is on the shaft.

From what I can see from the begining of the vid before the motor kicks in,your belt is at a slight angle and this will give rise to belt shift on the pully.
