    Eratic Machine

My SyilX3 is cutting elipses instead of circles, I am using a file that has worked before and double checked in the simulator, so I assume the problem lies with the machine.
I have attached the file and the xml ( had to rename it xls as site won't exept xml)
    Can anyone help?
    Thanks
    Mike

Coupler eventually break. I made new ones using 4th axis and a slitting saw.
    Partly finished.

    What broke.

    Hi Neil
We acccept parts can go, its when you don't know what part is malfunctioning that drives you up the wall especialy when you got parts to make on time.

My broken part made a slight clunk and gave backlash.
Stupid design, wire cut, with high stress points at poorly controlled end of cut.

Acceptable part DON'T crack due to fatigue.
120 hours it breaks. My spiral couplers have now done over 2000 hours.

Being CNC done, and EDM is slow, spiral cut would have taken no more machine time with CNC than EDM.
    It wasn't designed. It happened.

I realised Syil use thier customers as R&D many years ago, and those of use who bought the X3 have had to repair, adapt and fetle to get the machine to a workable standard, however I still think its the best tool I ever bought!!

I have a 600KG benchtop machine but would never give up the SX3.

Sorry, no pictures to come on the bigger machine. It is work in progress. 3 years in the making, production machine.
