    Can't home Z 500 over travel alarm

    Talent 8/52
    oi-TC control

    Everything was working fine yesterday.

Today when I powered up X homed fine.
    Z gave a alarm 500, Z overtavel.

Not sure how to troubleshoot this.

I'm looking at the censors in the back but and not sure how they work with the parameters. I see two ramped sensors. the sensor falls off the ramp about .100 before the overtravel alarm.

    Thanks for any help.
Sure would like a trouble shooting guide for this machine!

Try the following. Shut off machine, hold "P" and "Can" together and restart machine.Hold untill startup is complete. Then try to re-home.

I was reluctant to do this because on my control, the O and the P hard key are the same button. Found a link that said the same thing. Asked tech and he said the same thing.

It worked. Thanks for your help.

Just wanted to confirm that the P/O + CAN (P and O are same button) solution worked on our Hardinge T42 with 18T fanuc control when it had this odd 500 X+ over travel error. Thank goodness!

Thank You. It was a lot quicker looking here than in my manual books. Glad to have them but where to look through 500 pages? Lol.
