    Mach 3 decimal place.

Looking at using Mach on a couple potential retrofits here.
First one (test bed) is just a 3 axis bed mill. Leaning towards the AJAX back end right now. This machine, .0001" is fine for resolution, the next possible one is a lathe, just 2 axis, but will need .00001" resolution on this one. Can Mach be configured for that? And yes I understand I need a motion control system to handle that, and temp control. Thats all in place already.

How about the "brains" in the mach? Can this handle lube pump timers with low pressure alarms and low float level alarms? Ive done ladder work on industrial controls, this looks very different. Can it be used to lets say interlock a spindle if the brake is on?

And lastly for now, is there any better screen sets? the one it comes with looks kinda cartoonish.

    Thanks all.

To get more decimal places, you need to edit each DRO in a screen editor. It's pretty simple to do.

I think the Brains will do what you want, but haven't tried it, so can't be sure.

Everything I've read says that support from Ajax is terrible. You might want to look into that. There are threads here and the machsupport forum.
