I have a three year old Hypertherm 1000 and have been very happy with it. I am now thinking of upgrading to the new Duramax retrofit torch. I'm wondering if anyone else has done this upgrade and if their happy or not. Also how much are the new consumables??? Thanks for any feedback.,,,,,,CURLY

From Hypertherm: The consumables are essentially the same price as the original consumables for the Powermax1000, however the life (and cut quality, cut speed) is considerably better....resulting in a lower consumable cost. Hypertherm has delivered a lot of these Duramax torches to users of older Hypertherm systems.
