    DM4400 Questions

    I may be going to look at a DM4400 this weekend.

    What is the approximate weight of the machine?
    What are the approximate dimensions, L X W X H?
    Does the machine use ball screws or acme?

    Any info will be appreciated!

    DM4400 or DM4400M?

    Mechanically the same but the DM4400 uses Dyna's SKIP control with stepper motors while the DM4400M uses Mitsubishi control with servos. Both use ball screws.

    Machine weight is about 4500lbs or 2000kg.

    Thanx for the reply, Caprirs.
    This machine has the Dyna control, I think, my friend said his friend (the owner) told him that programming it was, "nothing like a Fanuc".
    I didn't realize how heavy they are......I was thinking around 2500lbs.
